NH House Republican Leader Congratulates New Representatives, New Speaker

CONCORD – House Republican Leader Gene Chandler (R-Bartlett) today offered the following statement following the New Hampshire House of Representatives Organization Day where new members and reelected incumbents were sworn in, and Rep. Terri Norelli (D-Portsmouth) was elected the new Speaker of the House.

House Republican Leader Gene Chandler

“I congratulate all of our newly seated Representatives and thank them for their hard work and commitment to serve New Hampshire. I look forward to working with the newly elected Speaker of the House to address the important issues facing our State. While we may not agree on everything we will certainly look to find common ground and work to propose common sense solutions. We need to produce an honest, sensible and balanced budget without raising taxes or fees, and we need to ensure we maintain a focus on jobs and economic growth. We have an important job ahead and I look forward to working with this legislature to help make New Hampshire a better place for our families and our business community.”
