EXETER, NH – Maggie Hassan for Governor today announced Rep. Jennifer Daler (D-Temple) as one of the campaign’s Grassroots Co-Chairs. Daler will help the Hassan campaign organize grassroots support in the Monadnock region and in the netroots community. Daler announced her endorsement today on BlueHampshire.com, where she previously served as a managing editor.
In her endorsement Daler cited Hassan’s focus on the economy, her work in passing marriage equality, and her ability to bring people together to get things done for New Hampshire.
“It is vital the Governor's office remains Democratic,” wrote Rep. Daler. “I am supporting Maggie Hassan for Governor not only because I believe she can win, but that her values and experience will help New Hampshire heal and rebuild from the present attacks on the body politic.”
“We must not forget Maggie was instrumental in passing marriage equality in New Hampshire in 2009. She helped craft an amendment to the original bill that convinced hesitant senators to vote for it, which Governor Lynch then signed. This speaks to Maggie's ability to help decision-makers reach consensus, an ability that is sorely needed in Concord,” continued Daler.
“I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of Rep. Jennifer Daler and thrilled she has agree to serve as one of my campaign’s Grassroots Co-Chairs,” said Hassan. “She is a persistent and strong voice for progressive issues and will be crucial to growing our support in the netroots community.”
Recently, Patch.com remarked that “Exeter's Maggie Hassan appears to have one of the most organized campaigns so far in the race for NH governor.” The Hassan campaign previously announced grassroots steering committees for Merrimack and Hillsborough County.
