WHAT Marathon Monday is an extreme workout for runners and spectators alike, and the ideal way to prepare is with plenty of rest and lots of carbs. From April 13th to April 15th, 2012 Tuscan Kitchen, located in Salem, NH, will help runners and their families relax and prepare for the biggest race of the year with just the right balance of carbs, protein and healthy fat to keep them in optimum shape to run the race of their lives, or fuel them up to be loudest in the cheering section.
All of Tuscan Kitchen’s breads are crafted daily in their artisan bakery and the pastas are prepared fresh, so you’ll have nothing but the best ingredients for your pre-race carbo- load in appetizer or entrée portions. Try Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese, a thin house made noodle dish with a rich sauce of beef and veal, and shaved Parmigiano reggiano ($9.00/ $14.00), or add some lean protein to your meal with Lobster Ravioli, a house made pasta dish with fresh Maine lobster meat and hand dipped ricotta, cabreo lobster brodo, tear drop tomatoes and caramelized fennel ($12.00/$20.00).
