This is it!
This Wednesday marks the greatest opportunity in a generation to restore traditional marriage in New Hampshire!
On Wednesday, March 21st, the House is finally expected to vote on HB 437, the compromise legislation that would restore traditional marriage while allowing civil unions for same sex couples, and lets New Hampshire citizens make their voices heard by voting on the matter in a non-binding referendum this fall.
Granite State Conservatives and Republicans are united in supporting the traditional definition of marriage against a radical gay marriage agenda.
Strong leaders like U.S. Senator and traditional marriage supporter Kelly Ayotte have long spoken out against radical special interests, and the national gay marriage agenda:
“I absolutely support and believe in marriage as between a man and a woman, and I do think it’s unfortunate that our state has made a different decision on that. And I know that many of you who are out there working on this at the state level, running for state office, I commend your efforts to repeal that law here in the state of New Hampshire, and I think that’s very important.”
Senator Ayotte is right!
And so are former Governor John Sununu, Congressman Frank Guinta, and both of New Hampshire’s strong Republican gubernatorial candidates, Kevin Smith and Ovide Lamontagne – all of whom support traditional marriage in New Hampshire.
Friends, even President Barack Obama agrees:
“In 2008, he visited the Saddleback Church in Orange County, Calif., where the pastor Rick Warren asked him to define marriage. ‘I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman,’ Mr. Obama said. ‘For me, as a Christian, it is also a sacred union.’”
So, don’t be fooled by radical social activists opposing HB 437.
With only 3 days before this historic vote, national gay marriage lobbyists and their social activist donors from New York and Washington, DC are posing as Republicans, trying to fool us into keeping the flawed, 2009 gay marriage law enacted in the midst of the worst fiscal crisis since the Great Depression.
We need your help right now. Stand up for traditional marriage today with just two easy steps:
1. Tell the politicians that a vote against HB 437 is a vote for gay marriage. Click here right now to send an email or to call your legislator.
2. Attend the vote! If you live or work in the Concord area, or have families and friends who do, we need every supporter of traditional marriage to visit the halls of our state legislature on Wednesday, March 21st to make sure the politicians get the message! Try to show up around 8am to be safe.
The stakes have never been higher.
HB 437 is common sense, compromise legislation that reflects our shared values, and represents the will of the people.
Let’s stand up for traditional marriage. Let’s pass HB 437…together.
