MANCHESTER, NH – Democratic candidate for Governor Maggie Hassan today announced she will tour parts of the North Country later this week and then head south to speak at the Dover Democrats FDR Dinner on Saturday night.
Hassan begins her tour Friday morning in Berlin with a stop at Senior Meals where she and State Representative Robert Théberge (D-Berlin) will meet with local seniors. Former State Representative and small business owner Dick Poulin will then join Hassan for a tour downtown Berlin businesses.
On Friday afternoon, Hassan will stop in Lancaster to meet with local business owners. That evening, Jefferson Town Democratic Chair Corry Hughes will host a house party for Hassan at her home.
Hassan continues her tour on Saturday in Carroll County at a house party in Brookfield hosted by Democratic State Senate candidate Jeff Ballard and his wife Stephanie Testa Ballard. On Saturday night, Hassan will speak at the Dover Democrats FDR Dinner.
“I’m looking forward to another trip to the North Country to hear directly from small business owners and working families about the issues they are facing day to day,” said Hassan. “I’m running for Governor to focus on making New Hampshire’s workforce the best in the country and to align our educational system with the needs of 21st century businesses. The North Country is a place where that focus is especially important.”
