The New Hampshire Democratic Party is happy to announce that the keynote speaker for the upcoming McIntyre-Shaheen Dinner will be Chair of the House Democratic Caucus John Larson of Connecticut.
Congressman Larson who represents Connecticut's First Congressional District is known for his efforts to end U.S. dependence on foreign oil, his support of Federal Transportation Funding to Rebuild Infrastructure and Create Jobs and sponsorship of Fair Elections (reforming campaign finance laws).
We are proud to add Congressman Larson to our already fantastic group of guests including Governor John Lynch, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Annie Kuster, Jackie Cilley, Maggie Hassan, Carol Shea-Porter, Joanne Dowdell and Andrew Hosmer!
For over 50 years our dinner has been one of the most exciting annual political events in the Granite State! And this year is no different.
The dinner will take place on:
Friday, March 16th, 2012 at 6:00 PM
Executive Court Banquet Facility, 1199 So. Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH
Congressman Larson, who has served in the House for 13 years, currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. Prior to that he served six terms in the Connecticut Senate, serving as President Pro Tempore the last four terms
Congressman Larson has been a leader in the effort to end U.S. dependence of foreign oil through advancing fuel cell technology produced in the United States that will also grow the economy and improve our environment. During his tenure in Congress, Larson has introduced the Energy Independence Act and the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Authorization Act to fund and promote fuel cell technology. He is also a founder and co-chair of the House Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Coalition.
The New Hampshire Democratic Party hopes you will be able to join us as we work to kick-off the 2012 Election. We are working hard right now to take back the majorities in the State House, hold onto the Governor's office, retake the Congressional seats and re-elect the President!
