ASMR - Jazz Singer Carol August at McCue's May 4, Hails from Keene, NH

Well-known to fans in southwestern NH, jazz/contemporary vocalist Carol
August will appear with her All-Star Band on Friday, May 4 at McCue’s,
Emerald Street, Keene, NH. August, aka Gus Agosta, returns to her hometown
for a fundraiser with her pianist of 5 years, Jonathan Chatfield. They are
joined by local musicians Mark Jennings on drums, Steve Armstrong on bass
and special guest artists on guitar and saxophone.

The show benefits a first-time collaboration between AIDS Services for the
Monadnock Region and Joy’s Network. AIDS Services has provided assistance
to people living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C for 23 years. Joy’s Network
offers resources, support and financial assistance for persons and their
families going through a cancer diagnosis.

August was raised in Keene, the sister of vocalist JoJo Mead, and has
performed up and down the East Coast for the last 45 years. Promoters from
the deep South to NYC say that August “has a voice that echoes the greats –
from Janis Joplin to Etta James and Rosemary Clooney. She appeals to all
audiences based on her sheer talent and never, ever disappoints.”

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Doors open at 7p, show at

full menu and bar will be available to patrons during the show.
