AFPNH - Tell the NH Senate to Pass the Health Care Compact!

First of all, thank you to the more than 300 people who attended our second annual Conservative of the Year event last Friday in Concord. I greatly appreciate you taking time to join us in honoring U.S. Senator Ayotte as our Conservative of the Year and making the dinner a must-attend event.

For those of you who could not attend, please use these links to check out the photos and videos.

Second, we are continuing to advocate for legislation in Concord that will lead to lower taxes, less regulation and smaller government.

This week I submitted testimony to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing on HB 1487, also known as Liquid RGGI, which would prohibit the state from participating in any low carbon fuel standards program requiring quotas, caps, or mandates on fuels used for transportation, industrial purposes, or home heating.  New Hampshire DOES NOT need a liquid version of the already failed RGGI program. Unfortunately, the committee reported the bill ITL (Inexpedient to Legislate).

I also submitted testimony to the Senate Health and Human Services Committee hearing on HB 1642 which exempts destination specialty hospitals from the certificate of need process. This legislation provides an opportunity to create new jobs in our state in the ever-expanding health care sector.

Additionally last week, I testified in support of the Health Care Compact legislation and a bill removing NH from the original RGGI program. Please click on the links within to read more.

The Health Care Compact legislation would bring the decision-making authority over health care decisions back to NH and closer to the people where it belongs.

I urge you to contact Chairman Jeb Bradley and the Members of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee and ask that they vote OTP (Ought to Pass) on the Health Care Compact (HB 1560).

You can use the contact information below.

Chairman Jeb Bradley - 271-8472 or 387-2365;

Vice Chairman Tom De Blois - 271-4151;

Senator Molly Kelly - 271-3207;

Senator Gary Lambert - 271-2609;

Senator Andy Sanborn - 271-3067;

Thank you again to everyone who attended our Conservative of the Year event last Friday and for all of your efforts every other day of the year to advance pro-liberty legislation.
