First, we need your help to pull the plug on RGGI!
AFP-NH launched a radio ad detailing the negative effects of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, also known as RGGI, on NH businesses and residents. Read more about it HERE.

The House and Senate passed different versions of HB 1490, which would alter the RGGI program in NH. The House has asked for a Committee of Conference to continue working on the bill. The Senate has yet to agree to meet and continue the work.
I encourage you to call State Senate President Peter Bragdon and ask him to continue to work on RGGI and meet with the House!
State Senate President Peter Bragdon (603) 271-2111 or email@example.com.
As you may know, the removal of the state from RGGI is a NH GOP platform issue. The platform’s Tax Free NH section reads, “Work to reduce New Hampshire's energy costs and remove New Hampshire from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.”
Please CLICK HERE to read more. This is a program that conservatives should be working to get our state out of. We will continue our efforts and keep you posted on the outcome of this important fight.
Second, the Committee of Conference is meeting this week on the proposed education funding constitutional amendment, CACR 12. Currently the bill asserts that the legislature has the full power and authority and the responsibility to define standards for public education, establish standards of accountability, mitigate local disparities in educational opportunity and fiscal capacity, and have full power and authority to determine the amount of state funding for public education. We will keep you posted on the progress of these meetings.
Finally, the NHGOP will be hosting their Victory Dinner featuring Gov. Mike Huckabee one week from today at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. The event begins with a social and VIP photo session at 6:30PM followed by the dinner at 7PM. You can get more information on this and other great events scheduled across the state in our Granite State Gatherings section to the left.

P.S. Don’t forget to call Senator Bragdon today and ask him to pull the plug on RGGI!
