YRNF - Show up the DNC: The Young Republic Issue 1 Volume 4

We are the Crossroads Generation, the ones that have been left to pick up the pieces after four years of Obama's failed policies. We are teaming up with Republicans for a Better America, Inc. and the College Republicans for a decisive moment to tell Obama, the week before the DNC, that we do not want four more years. The Young Republican Political Action Convention, July 13-14th, in Charlotte, NC the WEEK before the DNC. Get all the details and sign up to attend here. We will have a YRNF National Committee meeting during the convention.

The most important thing we do is Get Out The Vote. We have boots on the ground as you read this in Wisconsin to assist Republicans there in their crucial fight. Another critical deployment is coming up June 9-10 in Tucsan, Arizona. We will keep you updated on the ways to get involved.

Last month, the YRNF hosted our annual Young Republican Leadership Conference in the nation’s capitol city, April 25-29, and brought together many of the hard working and heavily involved Young Republicans in America. We have some great photos for you at the end of the newsletter and two big galleries of photos here and here.
Finally, the Western and Northeast Region Directors wrote about the good work being done in their regions. In the West, we are working tirelessly to charter new state groups. The Northeast is meeting up in multiple state locations to plan for the upcoming election.

Hope you had a great Memorial Day!

Tis the season for primaries, and this year’s match-ups will present some of the toughest fought races across the country.
Present at the YRLC from the West were representatives from California, Montana, and Utah.  National Committeeman Rohit Joy of CA presented a resolution at the board meeting which seeks to add a “Young Adult Worker” plank to the RNC platform.  Though discussion on the resolution was brief, we look forward to the development of California’s plan to increase the focus on young Republicans.
We successfully chartered Oregon at the YRLC, and I continue to reach out to our other unchartered territories in the West.  As of two weeks ago, I was successful in finding a YR club in Hawaii, and have since begun steps to recognizing their organization with a YRNF charter.
Nothing’s slowed down in the wild west with races like the Tester-Rehberg face off for the Senate, a seven-way primary battle to replace a termed out governor in Montana, and newcomers like YR favorite Mia Love running for Congress in Utah.
Regional Director Dana (Goff) Hicks (Utah) has headed up an effort to help recruit boots on the ground for a deployment to Arizona, while California Young Republicans continue to build their club’s visibility, working to promote Ricky’s Gill’s race for the U.S. House.  If elected, Gill will be the youngest representative voted into office.
The Montana YRs will see a change in leadership with the resignation of both the Chair and Vice Chair at their convention on June 16th.  Idaho has recently elected new leadership as well, under the direction of Chair Ryan Sargent.
If we missed you in April, please check out photos of the YRLC athttps://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150792437424265.429809.776099264&type=3&l=9f51fac241
Thanks for all you do, and have a Happy Memorial Day weekend!
