Maggie Hassan for Governor Launches North Country Steering Committee

MANCHESTER, NH – Democratic candidate for Governor, Maggie Hassan today launched her campaign’s North Country Steering Committee with over 30 key volunteers and activists from the region.

The group will be chaired by former State Representative Tom Buco of Conway and veteran and candidate for State Senate, Jeff Ballard of Brookfield.

“I am honored by our great support in the North Country,” said Hassan.  “We are in strong shape with Tom Buco and Jeff Ballard helping lead the way.  I’m looking forward to working with them and our entire committee all the way to November and beyond.”

“I am proud to support Senator Maggie Hassan to be the next Governor of New Hampshire,” said former State Representative Tom Buco of Conway.  “She will govern, as Governor John Lynch has, by putting the people of New Hampshire first, above politics. Maggie will work with both Republicans and Democrats to keep New Hampshire the safest state to raise children and the best state to conduct business.  She will foster positive business conditions by keeping taxes under control and promoting an educated workforce.”

“My decision to endorse Maggie was an easy one,” said Jeff Ballard, candidate for State Senate from Brookfield.  “At the end of the Governor Lynch’s term, we need a leader who will unite New Hampshire and continue a path of bi-partisan progress. With Maggie I know we will have a leader with the ability to reach across the aisle when both sides are willing to work together, but also with the conviction to not compromise her beliefs.”
