Rep. Weyler: “Kevin Smith knows more about state government and what needs to be done
than any other candidate running”
MANCHESTER – Today, Kevin Smith, Republican candidate for governor of New Hampshire, announced that State Representative and Chairman of the House Finance Committee, Kenneth Weyler of Kingston, has endorsed his candidacy. In a statement, Smith offered the following comments:
“Representative Weyler’s endorsement means a great deal to my campaign, and shows that key policymakers in the state are responding positively to my message and specific plans for making New Hampshire an economic leader in the region and nationally. Representative Weyler’s work as Chairman of the House Finance Committee has brought much needed discipline to the state budget and improved our overall fiscal condition. He and I agree that New Hampshire cannot improve its economic environment if our fiscal house is not in order. I’m pleased to have his support, and I look forward to working closely with him throughout the year.”
Representative Weyler added: “Kevin Smith knows more about state government and what needs to be done than any other candidate running. I chose to support him not only because he is our party’s best candidate to win in November, but also because he knows exactly what it takes to govern effectively and to improve our state’s economy. Kevin is the most knowledgeable person with the best experience to tackle the difficult challenges that face our state over the next decade.”
Tonight, Kevin Smith kicks-off his statewide town hall meeting tour in Representative Ken Weyler’s home town of Kingston. Smith is the only candidate for governor to announce a town hall meeting schedule. During tonight’s meeting, he will take and answer questions from the audience and preview Part III of his New Hampshire’s Future Is Now plan, addressing education.
