MANCHESTER, NH – Maggie Hassan for Governor today announced the endorsement of Kathy Sullivan, the former New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairwoman and current Democratic National Committeewoman for the Granite State.
“It is an honor to have Kathy Sullivan on our campaign team,” said Hassan. “Kathy will be an incredible asset as we continue building a strong, statewide organization of enthusiastic supporters who want to move New Hampshire forward. Our campaign has gained a lot of momentum over the last few weeks and we will continue to work hard and out-organize our opponents at every turn as we look to the fall.”
“Maggie Hassan is a forward-thinking leader who fights for what matters and delivers for New Hampshire. I’m proud to support her campaign for governor,” said Sullivan. “Maggie has a strong record in the State Senate advocating for New Hampshire families on jobs and education so everyone has the opportunity to succeed. As Governor, she will put people first and take New Hampshire forward—by helping to create the best workforce, the best schools and making New Hampshire the leader in innovation by advocating for New Hampshire businesses. Maggie Hassan also will carry on New Hampshire’s tradition of common sense leadership.”
“Ovide Lamontagne, on the other hand, would be a rubber stamp for an extremist agenda that would roll New Hampshire back decades,” continued Sullivan. “Lamontagne has said he’d be a “radically different” kind of governor than John Lynch. Well, New Hampshire can’t afford that kind of radical change. We need to elect Maggie Hassan as our next governor.”
Last week, Hassan was endorsed by EMILY’s List because she is running a strong, viable campaign. She has also earned the support of the Women’s Campaign Fund, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Council #35, the Carpenters Local 118, the Iron Workers Local 7, and the United Food and Commercial Workers Locals 1445 and 791.
