(Washington – June 14, 2012) U.S. Representative Frank Guinta (R, NH-01) announced today he will host a job fair aimed at helping women job-seekers. The Women’s Job Fair will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25 at Manchester Community College, located at 1066 Front Street in Manchester. While the free event is geared toward women, all Granite Staters are welcome to attend.
This is the sixth job fair Congressman Guinta has hosted since June 2011 as part of his ongoing “Getting Granite Staters Back to Work” jobs initiative. It is also the second theme-oriented job fair; he hosted one for military veterans and their families last November.
In addition, the event will also feature the presentation of the very first Beacon Award to two recipients. “A beacon gives light to others,” Rep. Guinta said. “The Granite State Beacon Award will be given to two New Hampshire women who are actively working to improve and expand opportunities for women, and who also serve as positive role models. This job fair, combined with the presentation of this award, will further enable Granite State women to advance in their careers and encouragement to pursue their dreams.”
