Prescott Park Arts Festival Presents the Service Credit Union Movie Series
Come Enjoy Cherished Films in Prescott Park
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - Prescott Park Arts Festival is pleased to announce the partnership with Service Credit Union to present the outdoor movie series on Monday nights.Each Monday night, beginning July 2, 2012, through September, attendees can view some of the most popular and beloved films of all times in Prescott Park.
"Think drive-in movie, minus the car," says Prescott Park Arts Festival executive director Ben Anderson, "We're looking forward to bringing some of the novelty and nostalgia of seeing movies under the stars to Prescott Park."
The movie series is the result of a long-term goal and intensive fundraising. The festival organizers where able to purchase a high-definition projector and movie screen, specifically designed for the projection of outdoor movies. Combined with the existing sound system utilized for concerts, the result is a high quality film screening experience for all to enjoy.

To kick off the Service Credit Union Movie Series, the first film shown on July 2, 2012 will be one of the most popular films over the last thirty years, Top Gun. Other films to be screened in the park will include Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest on July 9th, Ghostbusters on July 16th, The Muppets on August 13th, Shrek on August 30th, and Dark Knight on September 8th.The full schedule of the Service Credit Movie Series can be found online at www.prescottpark.org.
"These are the movies we all love, and what could be better than seeing them in the park, where you are free to stretch out, relax, and enjoy some popcorn or cotton candy from our concessions stand?," says Anderson.
The Service Credit Union Movie Series will be offered free of charge, as with all events offered by Prescott Park Arts Festival, with a suggested donation of $6-$8. General seating is first come, first served, so bring a blanket or lawn chairs to claim your spot in the grass. Want the best view? In addition to the movie series, Prescott Park Arts Festival's 38th season also features the musical Willy Wonka, presented in partnership with the Seacoast Repertory Theatre, as well as a variety of concerts featuring Lucinda Williams, Shawn Colvin, Ani DiFranco, and more.
