Events will focus on House efforts to stop federal overregulation
(Washington – May 31, 2012) Representative Frank Guinta (R, NH-01) will join House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) at an important event in Manchester on Monday, June 4th.
They will participate in a “Red Tape Forum.” It will be held at 1:00 p.m. at 36 deLux Restaurant, 36 Lowell Street. Several dozen members of New Hampshire’s small business community will be on hand, and will describe the hardship excessive regulation imposes on them and is stifling the creation of new jobs.
“Job creators say their ability to efficiently run their businesses and remain competitive is severely limited by all the red tape coming from Washington,” Rep. Guinta said. “It’s more than a nuisance; it’s preventing them from creating more jobs and it takes a big bite out of their bottom line. That’s keeping unemployed people from returning to work and is slowing our economic recovery. Overregulation is bad for business, bad for New Hampshire, and bad for our nation’s economy.”
The event is open to the news media.
