Wednesday, June 20, 2012, 12:00 p.m.

WASHINGTON – Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 20, 2012, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) will participate in a briefing with Sen. Mark Udall (D-CO), Will Manzer, CEO of Eastern Mountain Sports (headquartered in Peterborough, New Hampshire), and Dusty McCoy, Chairman & CEO of Brunswick Corp. on a new report issued by Outdoor Industry Association about the national economic impact of outdoor recreation.

New Hampshire’s economy is intricately tied with its vast natural resources in industries such as tourism and outdoor recreation.  Last year, outdoor recreation supported more than 50,000 jobs in New Hampshire alone.

Bass has been a strong supporter of programs like the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), which help to preserve open spaces for individuals to be able to enjoy.
