"Congresswoman Shea-Porter is continuing to try to hide from her lock-step voting record with then Speaker Nancy Pelosi"
(Manchester – June 20, 2012) Regardless of political office or party affiliation, every major candidate for office in 2012 has an in depth website so Granite Staters can do their own research – that’s every candidate but Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter.
When visiting www.sheaporter.com, the only thing New Hampshire voters are greeted with is a picture of the Congresswoman, a short letter on why she is running for reelection, and the option to donate to her campaign. No ability to learn about her position on the issues. No possibility of studying her record in Congress. There’s not even the address to an office where a voter could stop by and talk to a member of her staff.
Guinta spokesman Derek Dufresne released the following statement:
“Granite Staters have always been known to be some of the most informed voters in the country. They pride themselves on being able to do their own research and make their own decisions. Either Congresswoman Shea-Porter doesn’t understand this or she is continuing to try to hide from her lock-step voting record with then Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“Perhaps the Congresswoman has decided that for her own reelection benefits, her record on the failed stimulus, Obamacare, and our skyrocketing debt and deficit is better off forgotten. Either way, Congresswoman Shea-Porter should join the rest of those running for political office in New Hampshire and make her positions known on the important issues. It’s the New Hampshire way.”
