NH DHHS Announces Alcohol and Drug Strategy Summit

Concord, NH – The Governor’s Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse

Prevention, Intervention and Treatment is hosting a State Strategy Summit

on Friday, June 22, 2012. The daylong Summit is being held from 9AM – 3 PM

at the Grappone Center in Concord. More than 160 state and community

leaders and stakeholders have been invited to attend. The goal of the

summit is to bring together participants from state government,

communities, law enforcement, business, education, and healthcare to

prioritize strategies for a five year strategic plan to improve efforts to

prevent, treat, and support recovery from alcohol and other drug problems

in New Hampshire. Opening remarks will be made by Commissioner Toumpas from

the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, a number of

other state agencies heads, and other prominent stakeholders that will

provide a framework for developing the state strategy.
