NH GOP Overrides Veto to Pass Voter ID Bill

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Wayne MacDonald released the following statement after Republicans in the legislature added to their long-list of accomplishments a voter ID law that will better protect the integrity of our elections.

“I want to congratulate our Republican legislature on this important accomplishment that will go a long way toward ensuring that New Hampshire voters get a fair chance to exercise one of their most fundamental rights.  Protecting the integrity of our elections is critical, especially given our historic First-in-the-Nation role.  More than thirty states, both blue and red, already have voter ID requirements on the books, and today’s override vote will add the Granite State to that list.”
