New Hampshire- Today, former Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, who worked on the Affordable Care Act and was at the White House for the signing, released the following statement about the Supreme Court upholding the law.
“Americans won today when the Supreme Court upheld the Health Care Law. Millions of our citizens will now be guaranteed access to health care. When I went to Congress, I promised to fight for health care for all Americans. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and satisfaction that my colleagues and I, working with President Obama, were able to finally accomplish what so many Republicans and Democrats tried to do for so long—make sure that all Americans had access to medical care.”
