Senator Molly Kelly Will Seek 4th Term in the NH Senate

Keene Incumbent Vows To Continue Leadership on Education, Jobs


KEENE - State Senator Molly Kelly of Keene announced today that she will seek a 4th term in the NH Senate representing District 10 encompassing the City of Keene and surrounding communities.


"It has been a great privilege and honor to have served the constituents of District 10 in the state Senate for the last six years," said Kelly.  "It is with great humility and an enduring sense of optimism, for our community and out state,  that I intend to seek re-election to the Senate."


Senator Kelly currently serves as a member of the Senate Committees on Transportation, Health & Human Services, and Education - of which she served as Chair from 2006 - 2010.  She has been widely recognized as a leader on matters of education policy throughout her tenure and has fought to expand energy alternatives for families and businesses.   


"There are a number of challenges facing our state in the years ahead, however I intend to continue to work collaboratively with legislative, civic, and business leaders to ensure that our citizens have every opportunity, educationally and economically, to achieve success," added Kelly.  "If we work together to accomplish the priorities and craft the policies that are important to the educational and economic vibrancy of New Hampshire then I am confident the future will look very bright for the Granite State."


Kelly has also been a strong advocate for equal rights, reproductive freedom and health care.


Sen. Kelly additionally serves as Chair of the Governor's Advanced Manufacturing Advisory Council where she has been a leading voice in the state on the importance of collaborative efforts between private business and public educational institutions, including our community colleges and public colleges and universities, toward the building of a 21st century economy for New Hampshire.


Senator Kelly was first elected to the New Hampshire Senate in 2006. She has been a resident of Keene for more than 30years. She and her husband Art Luptowski have four children and six grandchildren. All of their children have attended the Keene schools.


Senator Kelly is a graduate of Keene State College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She additionally holds a Juris Doctor of Law Degree from the University of New Hampshire Law School.
