Manchester event will include a major speech on manufacturing sector needs
(Washington – June 7, 2012) Representative Frank Guinta (R, NH-01) will host a Manufacturing Jobs Summit in Manchester next week. It will be the final event of the 3-part series held around the First Congressional District as part of his ongoing “Getting Granite Staters Back to Work” jobs initiative.
The summit will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13th at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, Room 5001 (West Wing), St. Anselm College, 100 St. Anselm Drive in Manchester.
Representative Guinta will speak about the information he gathered from listening to manufacturers at the previous summits in Portsmouth and Laconia, then will hold a question and answer session with members of New Hampshire’s manufacturing sector. They will discuss what steps are needed to encourage the growth of manufacturing jobs in New Hampshire over the coming decade.
“New Hampshire manufacturers know what’s necessary for this important sector of our economy to expand in the coming years,” Guinta said. “They don’t need Congress and Washington bureaucrats telling them what they should do – they need a partner in Congress to work with them in achieving their goals.
“These Manufacturing Jobs Summits are creating that partnership and are laying the foundation for us to move ahead together.”
