Sherm Packard Endorses Smith For Governor
by James Pindell
Former House Republican Leader Sherm Packard has endorsed Kevin Smith in the Republican primary for governor, WMURPoliticalScoop.com has learned.
Packard, of Londonderry, is currently serving in his 11th term in the House.
“I support Kevin Smith for Governor, because I believe we need fresh leadership and fresh ideas,” Packard said in a statement. “Kevin is the one candidate with a real plan to fix the economy in New Hampshire, and will focus on other priorities, such as completing the widening of Interstate 93. There has been a vacuum of leadership in the corner office for the past eight years, but Kevin is someone who is ready to hit the ground running, work to restore New Hampshire’s economic climate, and again make our state an attractive place in which to do business and raise a family.”
It’s a quality pick-up for Smith....
