Ovide for Governor announces “Conversations on Our Economy” Series

Roundtable events to focus on New Hampshire’s economy and solutions for spurring job growth
Manchester, NH – Further amplifying his campaign's focus on New Hampshire's economy, Ovide Lamontagne, Republican candidate for Governor, today announced the first leg of his "Conversations on Our Economy" business roundtable series.
The roundtable events will consist of a panel discussion, led by Ovide, with area business owners and employees providing their perspective on the state's economy.  Items such as tax policy, government regulation, health care, energy, infrastructure, and more will be open for discussion.  Ovide will detail his Prosperity Agenda for New Hampshire’s Future, and participants will be asked to share their ideas on where state government can do more, or less, to improve the business climate and spur job growth in New Hampshire.  All events will be open to the public and media.
Discussing the motivation behind the series, Lamontagne said, "As Governor my focus would be on making New Hampshire the best place in the nation to do business and to raise a family.  I’m ready to work with anyone, roll up my sleeves and get to work addressing the challenges facing our economy.  That is what this series is about."
The campaign has scheduled seven stops on the first leg of the "Conversations on the Economy" series, with more dates to be released later this summer.
Lamontagne continued, "I look forward to visiting employers and employees at businesses large and small across the state to get a sense of what they believe the state is doing right and what needs improvement.  New Hampshire is home to an enterprising, educated and dedicated workforce, abundant natural resources, and the reputation as a low tax, low regulation state.  Together, we can harness those advantages, recapture what has historically made New Hampshire exceptional, and move our economy to the front of the pack both regionally and nationally."
Nate Sullivan, owner of the Blueberry Muffin Restaurant in North Conway, will host the first roundtable event.  Sullivan said, "I am pleased to have the opportunity to introduce Ovide to some of the Mount Washington Valley's business leaders and employees.  Of all the candidates, Ovide has the most comprehensive understanding of what our citizens expect from our leaders in Concord.  But most importantly, he is willing to listen and cross party lines to do what is best for the state and our economy in order to keep the granite in our Granite State values."
