Granite Stater Jon Simons Starts July 23rd

Concord, NH – Today, the New Hampshire Republican State Committee announced at its Executive Committee meeting that Chairman Wayne MacDonald has hired a new Executive Director.  Jon Simons, a New Hampshire native whose family lives in Meredith, has an extensive background in organizing grassroots, managing field staff and fundraising.

“Jon brings to our leadership team a well rounded local and national political, policy and management background that will allow us to continue to build upon our recent successes and keep us on a path to victory in November,” said New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Wayne MacDonald.

Simons takes over for Tory Mazzola, who was hired last fall and accepted a new position that will be announced soon.  Jon previously worked for DDC Advocacy in Washington, D.C. as an Associate Campaign Director.  In this role, he aided in the development and execution of nationwide political advocacy campaigns for Fortune 100 companies.  Prior to this position, he was Manager of Government Affairs for the American Hotel and Lodging Association where he managed the daily activities of its grassroots network and PAC, developed messaging documents, conducted coalitions outreach and briefed association leadership.

Additionally, Simons held positions at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and served on Congressman Jeb Bradley’s re-election campaign in 2006.  Simons is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Durham where he majored in Political Science.
