Kevin Smith Comments On Missing Inventory From NH State Liquor Store

MANCHESTER -- “The recent revelations about the missing inventory from the NH State Liquor Store in Portsmouth raises serious questions about the operations and policies at the Commission,” stated Kevin Smith. “While the findings from the Liquor Enforcement Chief’s office highlight many of the failures in the current system, it is even more concerning that this type of activity could have gone unreported to the Governor and Council for six months. I thank the Council and Governor for immediately requesting an investigation by the Attorney General into this incident.”

“I hope that some good can come out of this obvious breakdown in proper practices,” continued Smith. “Reforms need to be implemented quickly to ensure that we do not see a repeat of this apparent abuse of the taxpayers trust.”
