Concord, NH- During President Clinton's visit to New Hampshire the other day, he may have endorsed Maggie Hassan, but which taxing liberal did he actually throw his support behind? Both candidates support ObamaCare. Both candidates would put this state on the path to an income tax. Both candidates supported more taxes and spending while they were in the state senate. Even President Bill Clinton himself said “it's important you go out and talk about her record in the senate.” Maybe, Mr. President, you should have had both candidates on that stage with you.
Today’s Foster’s Daily Democrat admits this confusion saying: “based on news reports [Clinton] didn’t say anything about Hassan that could not be said about Democratic primary opponent Jackie Cilley.”
“Even President Clinton couldn't come up with a defining characteristic of who he was endorsing,” said New Hampshire Republican Committee Chairman Wayne MacDonald. “There is no difference between Maggie Hassan and Jackie Cilley when it comes to the future of New Hampshire. They both will tax and spend until our economy gets worse and more jobs are lost. This state cannot afford a Hassan or Cilley administration, especially considering the mess they left behind in Concord.”
