“While Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter continues to hide from her uncompromisingly partisan record of division and steadfast devotion to the Washington establishment, her own Super PAC is thanking Frank Guinta for his willingness to work across the political aisle.”
(Manchester – July 30, 2012) Granite Staters are getting used to Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter’s complete hypocrisy regarding Super PACS - opposing those that are against her and embracing those such as CREDO Super PAC that support her and are working against Frank Guinta in New Hampshire. What they are less familiar with is when CREDO Action, an arm of the Congresswoman’s Super PAC, writes a “Thank You” note to Frank Guinta for his voting record.
On July 26th, CREDO Action joined with other organizations thanking Frank Guinta for his bipartisan vote to freeze Pentagon spending at FY2012 levels. “Your vote with the 246 other ‘ayes’ sends a strong signal that Republicans and Democrats agree that it’s time to rein in the runaway Pentagon budget.” – CREDO Action, (http://www.pogo.org/pogo-files/letters/national-security/ns-wds-20120726-1.html). Frank Guinta’s vote can be found here, http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2012/roll495.xml.
Guinta spokesman Derek Dufresne released the following statement:
“There’s something to be said when Congresswoman Shea-Porter’s supporters pen a note thanking Frank Guinta for his bipartisan efforts to rein in wasteful federal spending. While Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter continues to hide from her uncompromisingly partisan record of division and steadfast devotion to the Washington establishment, her own Super PAC is thanking Frank Guinta for his willingness to work across the political aisle.
“Granite Staters are tired of the ‘politics as usual mentality.’ Perhaps the Congresswoman should start listening to her own supporters and look for areas where we can work together for a common good and stop focusing on partisan politics.”
