Shea-Porter For Congress - Guinta will not sign statement, but fundraises off Super PACs

New Hampshire-  Congressman Frank Guinta has been trying to raise money by telling supporters that Super PACs will be attacking him. Mr. Guinta's opponent, former Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, has been urging him to co-sign a statement with her asking Super PACs to stay out of their race. He has refused. After seeing Frank Guinta's newest appeal for money, Ms. Shea-Porter released the following statement.

"Congressman Guinta refuses to ask Super PACs to stay out of New Hampshire, but then says he is being victimized by them. If he is sincere about his fears, he can call my office and we will sign a statement together this very weekend, asking Super PACs to stay out of our race. "

Guinta for Congress email from June 30, 2012:

Team Guinta,

We are only hours away from a crucial deadline tonight at midnight, and I need your help.

Congresswoman Shea-Porter has big labor, ultra-liberal organizations like EMILY’s List, and even a Super PAC from San Francisco that are coming into New Hampshire to spend millions of dollars in hopes of reclaiming the First Congressional District on behalf of left-wing special interest groups.

They know that if they can get Congresswoman Shea-Porter back to Washington, her first vote will be to return Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. And you know what that means: more spending, higher taxes, and a bigger federal government.

Remember, it was Congresswoman Shea-Porter who cast one of the deciding votes to help pass Obamacare. She was even present at the White House when the bill was signed into law!

If we are going to stop Obamacare and continue to turn our country in the right direction, it will be because of the hard work of Granite Staters like you.

Your contribution of $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or even $250 will go a long way in ensuring that we show Congresswoman Shea-Porter that it is Granite Staters that will determine who they want representing them, not her national liberal special interest groups.

As we approach the final hours of this crucial fundraising quarter, I want to thank you for all your support and hard work as we march toward Election Day on November 6th. The momentum is on our side and I am confident that with your help, we will win!
