Concord, NH- Congresswoman Shea-Porter has claimed to oppose Super PACs, yet her hypocrisy on the subject has continued as she refuses to denounce CREDO Super PAC, a San Francisco-based Super PAC that has come to NH to support her efforts. On top of this, new questions have been raised as to her campaign’s involvement with the aforementioned Super PAC.
Carol Shea-Porter’s refusal to denounce CREDO Super PAC has certainly been bad enough, but coordination between a campaign and a Super PAC is unethical and illegal. On Friday evening, an image surfaced of a top paid aide to Shea-Porter connecting with a CREDO Super PAC staffer on Facebook after each had already assumed jobs at their respective campaigns. The former Congresswoman now has the responsibility to New Hampshire voters to answer why, other than to coordinate efforts, is a Carol Shea-Porter for Congress staffer connecting with a CREDO Super PAC staffer. Granite Staters are waiting for her response.
"Congresswoman Shea-Porter has yet to denounce the actions of the Super PAC working in her favor and now has the responsibility to answer why there is proof of a connection between her campaign and a Super PAC," said New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Wayne MacDonald. "How can the people of New Hampshire trust her to represent them in Washington when she demonstrates time and time again that she wants it both ways; no involvement in Super PACs against her, but those in her favor are fine. She will say or do anything to get elected after the voters decided she didn't deserve another chance in 2010."
