Shea-Porter For Congress - Guinta position more restrictive than Right to Life Group

New Hampshire Congressman Frank Guinta has been characteristically hiding in a corner as the whole country discusses the Republican platform to ban abortions, without any exceptions in cases of rape, incest, or to save the woman's life. His desire to give the federal government complete power over a woman and her family's medical decisions is disturbing.

Naomi Andrews, Campaign Manager for Candidate Carol Shea-Porter, released the following statement:
“Congressman Frank Guinta's chilling insistence that a woman should die rather than be allowed to have a medically necessary abortion to save her life is more restrictive than the National Right to Life's position, and shows how little regard he has for women and their families who love and need them.”

* “In response to two questions on abortion, Guinta said he is pro life, and, were a repeal to Roe v. Wade come up while he was serving in Congress, he would vote for a no-holds barred ban on abortion with "no exceptions.”
