Bass For Congress - The Bass Report

Dear Friends,
Today, our campaign released a new web video, "Independent". As an independent voice in Congress, I know how important it is to bring New Hampshire values of pragmatism and fiscal responsibility to Washington. We must cut through the partisan gridlock to create real solutions to fix the economy, reduce the national debt and create economic prosperity. Getting people back to work and putting our nation on the right track should not and cannot be a partisan issue.
Please take a moment to view our video. If you agree that we must stop the partisan bickering and find real solutions to our nation's problems, click here to join our campaign.

On the trail...
Tomorrow, Team Bass will be marching in the Allenstown-Pembroke Old Home Day Parade. This will mark the 13th parade we have participated in. From Rumney to Amherst, the Bass campaign is marching in parades all across the district. Bring your friends and family to join Charlie in this New Hampshire tradition!
We are gathering for the parade at 9:30 AM at 46 Allenstown Road, Allenstown.

From the papers...
This week, Concord Patch published Charlie's article "Maintaining Our New Hampshire Advantage". Here's a bit of what he had to say...
"From talking to and visiting with businesses across the district, I have seen firsthand how much our economy and Granite State families benefit from the New Hampshire Advantage and how these new, overly burdensome tax requirements would diminish this edge and thereby harm our local job creators. Requiring New Hampshire companies to charge state and local taxes, wherever their products are headed, would force them to put in new and oftentimes expensive accounting and tax collecting systems to keep track of money owed to other states. If mistakes are made, heavy penalties would follow. For a non-sales tax state like New Hampshire, a directive to collect out-of-state taxes is simply disproportionate and wrong."
Happy Birthday...
A very happy birthday to Mary Lee Siel of Bow! Mary Lee hosted a house party for Charlie this week, where we took a moment with her friends and family to wish her a happy 86th birthday.
