New Hampshire- Congressman Frank Guinta has refused to debate Carol Shea-Porter anywhere along the seacoast. He has informed willing, non-partisan and well-respected sponsors that if he wins his Republican primary, he will not give seacoast voters the opportunity to see or hear a debate near home. Congressman Frank Guinta was recently criticized by national and local press for trying to confuse voters by calling them and pretending he was not in Congress, and he continues to duck and hide.
Naomi Andrews, Campaign Manager for Candidate Carol Shea-Porter, released the following statement: “Congressman Guinta was a no-show at his own Republican primary forum with Rick Parent and other challengers. He has refused to hold town halls, even though he has been off all month, and is afraid to debate Carol Shea-Porter in some of the District's largest communities. Congressman Guinta needs to honor our New Hampshire traditions and debate his Republican challengers, and then debate Carol Shea-Porter around the District if he wins his primary.”
