YRNF Makes 9,000 Contacts in Virginia Deployment

On Saturday, September 15, Young Republicans from the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia traveled to Charlottesville, VA in support of Governor Mitt Romney and Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Paul Ryan, Senator George Allen, and Congressman Robert Hurt.
Congressman Hurt greeted the 29 enthusiastic Young Republicans who spent the beautiful fall weekend going door-to-door and making phone calls for the Republican ticket by stressing the importance of the area to winning statewide and that Young Republican efforts would help the GOP win in November.
After a successful day in the field, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell came out for a well attended victory rally, and took a moment to underscore the  importance of younger voters getting engaged and making sure they did all they could to help the Republican team win in this critical battleground.
In all, these energetic volunteers made 9,000 voter contacts over the weekend. While the weekend was a great success, there's more to do. With only 48 days until we elect the next President of the United States, Young Republican volunteers will be traveling the country to get the job done in November!
