MANCHESTER - Berlin Mayor Paul Grenier endorsed Democratic candidate for Governor Maggie Hassan today.
“I am supporting Maggie because I know that she is the only candidate who can stand up to Ovide Lamontagne and Speaker O’Brien’s extreme Tea Party agenda and win this fall,” said Grenier. “Our state faces a choice this November. We can move forward with a proven leader who has a record of standing up for working families or we can let this extreme Tea Party legislature with a rubber stamp Republican Governor take us backwards. I’ve made my choice, and I hope that all of you will join me in voting for Maggie Hassan for Governor in the Democratic primary election on September 11th,” said Grenier.
“I am honored to have earned the support of Berlin Mayor Paul Grenier,” said Hassan. “Paul Grenier has spent his life, as a union member, businessman, Berlin City Counselor and now as Mayor of Berlin, standing up for the people of the North Country,” said Hassan. “Paul shares my belief that what is good for the North Country is good for all of New Hampshire and I look forward to working with him to ensure that we keep New Hampshire moving forward,” said Hassan.
Mayor Grenier will serve as a co-chair of Maggie’s North Country Steering Committee along with State Senate candidate and veteran Jeff Ballard of Brookfield and former State Representative Tom Buco of Conway.
