Corporate-Backed Bus Tour Will Encounter Local Residents with Questions on Social Security
(Manchester, NH) U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will join granite staters this Friday, September 7, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. (EST), for a discussion about the state of our economy and the path forward for strengthening America. The future of Social Security and Medicare to local communities will be a prime topic of discussion.
Sanders is then expected to lead dozens of attendees over to the Institute of Politics (also on the St. Anselm College campus) to oppose the launch of the "Ten Million Dollars a Minute Tour." This bus tour, sponsored by the corporate-backed Comeback America Initiative, is focused on generating support for drastic cuts to Social Security and Medicare as a last-ditch way to balance the budget.
