Shea-Porter For Congress - Congressman Guinta needs to explain why he voted to destroy 3,600 NH jobs

New Hampshire - Congressman Frank Guinta's bumbling maneuvers in Congress and on the Budget Committee there have created problems for New Hampshire workers. Congressman Guinta pushed our country to the brink of default, which lowered our credit rating and has cost taxpayers billions more in interest payments. Now, his vote to force a sequester has hit New Hampshire companies. Market Watch reported today that, “According to a recent economic impact analysis conducted by economist Dr. Stephen Fuller of George Mason University, New Hampshire could lose more than 3,600 defense-related jobs if the sequestration mandated by the Budget Control Act is triggered.”

Candidate Carol Shea-Porter released the following statement:

“Congressman Frank Guinta has spent two years driving up the nation's debt, and now he has put 3,600 jobs at risk because of his refusal to compromise and his reckless vote for sequestration. Congressman Guinta needs to face his constituents and explain this vote, but he is refusing to debate around the district.”
