BEDFORD, NH - Andy Sanborn today received the endorsement of state Sen. Jim Forsythe (R-Strafford), his fourth endorsement from a sitting Senator. Sen. Forsythe joins Sen. Ray White, Sen. Jeb Bradley, and Sen. Peter Bragdon in endorsing Sen. Sanborn in his re-election bid from the newly redrawn 9th District.
"I'm humbled by the support I've received from my colleagues in the Senate," Andy said. "I'm proud of the work we've accomplished over the past two years and am honored that they deem me worthy to return to continue working for pro-job, pro-business policies at the State House.”

“If Republican primary voters in Senate District 9 want lower taxes, lower spending, less regulation, stronger gun rights, and school choice, they should vote for Andy Sanborn in the upcoming Republican primary. Primaries are incredibly important to ensure that the candidate nominated holds to true conservative principles. That is exactly why I formed the Conservative Senate PAC – to get conservatives elected in primaries.
Andy’s support of lower taxes, reduced spending, less regulation, and school choice puts him in stark contrast to his opponent, Rep. Ken Hawkins. As vice-chair of Senate Education, and the author of the education tax credit bill, I was appalled to find that Rep. Hawkins voted against reforming teacher tenure, against a property tax credit for school choice, and against forming charter schools. Sen. Sanborn supported school choice by co-sponsoring education tax credits, and supported improving funding for charter schools and reforming teach tenure.
On the issues of taxes, spending, and regulation, the contrast is similarly clear, as evidenced by Sen. Sanborn’s “A” rating from the Americans for Prosperity and 100% score from the Granite State Taxpayers. The contrast in their positions on the second amendment is also clearly seen by Sen. Sanborn’s support of, and Ken Hawkins opposition to, Constitutional carry. We need a Senator who will consistently stand up for conservative values, and based on voting records, that man is clearly Andy Sanborn. I encourage all voters of the 9th District to vote Andy Sanborn for State Senate in the Republican primary this Tuesday, September 11th.”
