Governor Hassan to Continue "Innovate NH" Tour, Highlight R&D Tax Credit
Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 07:45AM Office of New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan
MERRIMACK – TODAY, Governor Maggie Hassan will continue her statewide “Innovate NH” tour with a visit to Nanocomp Technologies, Inc., where the Governor will highlight the need to expand the state’s research & development tax credit.
Founded in 2004, Nanocomp produces high-performance strong, light and conductive sheets, tapes, wires and yarns comprised of high concentrations of carbon nanotube (CNTs) fibers. Nanocomp's products have been used in aerospace and defense, aviation, automotive, energy and consumer market applications.
Governor Hassan’s “Innovate NH” jobs plan calls for the expansion of the R&D tax credit to help innovative businesses like Nanocomp develop new technologies and create jobs in New Hampshire. Earlier today, the Governor submitted a letter to the Senate Ways and Means Committee in support of passage of SB1, which would double the R&D tax credit and make the provision permanent.
