Concord - New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Jennifer Horn today called on Senator Jeanne Shaheen to join a bipartisan effort to delay ObamaCare's individual mandate tax on working families. In an interview with Fox News last night, West Virginia Democrat Senator Joe Manchin announced that he is working with Georgia Republican Senator Johnny Isakson on legislation that will delay the tax for one year.

"Senator Jeanne Shaheen was the deciding vote for ObamaCare and she is directly responsible for the devastating consequences of this terrible law. Her disingenuous attempt to extend ObamaCare's open enrollment is a meaningless political ploy that will do nothing to protect middle class families from the new individual mandate tax.

"If Senator Shaheen was actually serious about standing up for New Hampshire she would - at minimum - join Democrat Senator Joe Manchin's bipartisan effort to delay the individual mandate tax for one year. Senator Shaheen needs to stop taking orders from her liberal party leadership and realize that delaying this crushing new tax is a commonsense approach and a matter of fairness for working families."
