NHDP - crabcakes

You probably know a few things about Governor Martin O’Malley and his home state of Maryland.  He is the former Mayor of Baltimore and currently serving in his second term as Governor.  Maryland is the home Francis Scott Key and our National Anthem and the US Naval Academy.
But there are some other interesting things about Governor O’Malley you may not know:
  1. While in college, Governor O’Malley worked on Gary Hart’s presidential campaign in New Hampshire where he worked for none other than State Director Jeanne Shaheen
  2. In 1986, O’Malley help elect Barbara Mikulski as the first woman to the United States Senate in her own right.  Today, she is the longest serving woman in Congress and now serves with New Hampshire's all-female delegation in Washington.
  3. For $250, you can join Governor O’Malley, Governor Hassan, Senator Shaheen, Congresswoman Shea-Porter, and Congresswoman Kuster at the Roundtable Reception prior to the Jefferson Jackson Dinner
  4. In 2005, Business Week Magazine named O'Malley one of five "new stars" in the Democratic Party along with future President Barack Obama.
  5. Tickets for the Jefferson Jackson Dinner on November 16 are only $75 and selling rapidly, so act today to hear Governor O’Malley speak
  6. As Chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, Martin O’Malley helped elect Democratic governors across the country – including our very own Maggie Hassan!
  7. The film Ladder 49 starring John Travolta and Joaquin Phoenix features a cameo appearance by Martin O’Malley
  8. Since 1988, he has been the lead singer and guitarist for the Celtic rock group O’Malley’s March
We are so excited to welcome such a dynamic and forward thinking leader to join us at the Jefferson Jackson Dinner on November 16 in Manchester.

I look forward to seeing you there!
