Concord – New Hampshire Democratic Party Communications Director Harrell Kirstein released the following statement today after Senate President Chuck Morse and Senate Republican Leader Jeb Bradley indicated their lack of understanding of the word compromise.
"Senators Morse and Bradley clearly don't understand the meaning of the word 'compromise.' How else can they explain refusing to budge from their unworkable and unfeasible Medicaid plan? While the Governor and House continue to put forward reasonable compromise proposals based on the hard work done by the bipartisan Medicaid Expansion commission, they have stubbornly dug in their heels putting ideology ahead of what is best for the people of New Hampshire. They continue to ignore the improved economic and health security Medicaid expansion would bring for working families and small businesses, and instead are joining the reckless Ted Cruz caucus that is unwilling to compromise. Will Senators like Nancy Stiles, Bob Odell, Jeanie Forrester, David Boutin and others stand up to their reckless and stubborn position or will they too join the out of touch Ted Cruz branch of the GOP?"
