Concord - New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Jennifer Horn today released the following statement on Governor Maggie Hassan's announcement that there will be no deal on Medicaid expansion:

"Governor Hassan has nobody but herself to blame for the failed negotiations on expanding access to health care. Republicans offered a sensible plan to help low income families get private insurance, but the governor refused to compromise because of her rigid adherence to President Obama's liberal ideology and failed health care agenda.

"Instead of sitting down this week with Republicans to work on a bipartisan deal, the governor left the State House to participate in a series of publicity stunts designed to promote ObamaCare. It was clear that she never had any intention of working across the aisle and that she was more interested in playing political games than helping needy Granite Staters.

"Governor Hassan has demonstrated that she is a partisan politician who is incapable of providing independent and effective leadership for our state. She has let down her constituents and proven that she would rather stand up for ObamaCare than get results for New Hampshire."
