The Obamacare disaster continues in New Hampshire...

This week, we saw the national disaster known as Obamacare continue to unfold here in New Hampshire.

We all know that when trying to sell Obamacare to the American people, President Obama was famously quoted on several occasions saying something similar to the following quote, "Let me be clear, if you like your doctor or healthcare provider, you can keep them. If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep that too."- President Obama, 2009

On Thursday evening, while it might be too little too late for the millions of Americans who have already received their cancelation letters, President Obama finally apologized to them for his false promise that no one would be forced off of a plan they wanted to keep as a result of Obamacare.

Earlier this week, Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire uncovered video from 2010 with Rep. Carol Shea-Porter saying something similar to President Obama: "It's our job to say, if you have insurance, and your employer covers you, it's not going to change." - Rep. Shea-Porter

Video of Rep. Shea-Porter's comments can be found here in our web video we released this week.

In Augu
st 2009, according to the Union Leader, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen made similar comments, too. She said during a telephone town hall: "But under every scenario that I've seen, if you have health coverage that you like, you get to keep it." The Union Leader also reported on other instances where she made similar statements.

From a New Hampshire perspective, we now know specific numbers regarding how many New Hampshire residents are already being canceled from their current insurance plans, despite untrue statements from Pres. Obama, Sen. Shaheen and Rep. Shea-Porter. At least 22,000 Granite Staters who have Anthem Blue CrossBlue Shield NH plans will be kicked off their healthcare policies.

As Obamacare news continues to unfold, we will be sure to keep you informed of how it is effecting you and other New Hampshire families.

Please email and let us know what your experiences have been as a result of the failing law.

Take action on Obamacare!

As you are aware, President Obama has finally apologized to millions of Americans for his untrue and misleading statements assuring them they would be able to keep their current health insurance plans under Obamacare.

Considering they made similar false promises, Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire is urging Granite Staters to call on Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Rep. Carol Shea-Porter to do the same.

While millions are losing their insurance nation-wide due to Obamacare, at least 22,000 New Hampshire residents will be receiving cancellation notices despite untrue claims made by the President that were echoed by Sen. Shaheen and Rep. Shea-Porter. They did so in order to force Obamacare into law and manipulate Americans in order to save their own political careers. Granite Staters deserve an apology and an explanation immediately.

Granite Staters, we need your help to keep up the pressure. Please call Sen. Shaheen and Rep. Shea-Porter's offices and demand that they apologize for misleading New Hampshire residents. Visit Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire's Facebook page and share the images we have been creating to keep the focus on the aforementioned elected officials' false promises. Write a letter to the editor of your local newspapers.  These are all action items that you can take to help make a difference, and we want to do whatever we can to help make it easier for you to get involved.

You can reach Sen. Shaheen's office at: 603-647-7500
You can reach Rep. Shea-Porter's office at: 603-641-9536
