Manchester, NH - Dan Innis, Republican candidate for Congress in NH-CD1, released the following statement today.
"I am disappointed that the budget agreement between House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) does not address our debt crisis in a meaningful way.
While Congressman Ryan and Senator Murray deserve credit for working across party lines, the agreement does not go nearly far enough to tackle this growing national security issue.
Congress has a moral responsibility to future generations to pass a yearly budget that shrinks government, includes real spending cuts, begins the process of reforming our tax code and starts to refocus our limited resources on 21st century infrastructure investments. And as New Hampshire's representative in the next Congress I will work with both political parties to do just that."
