6:00 PM Governor Hassan to Address Deployment Ceremony for the 237th Military Police Company, New Hampshire Army National Guard

Location: SNHU Athletic Complex, 2500 N. River Road, Manchester

*Note: The 237th MPs are deploying to Afghanistan for nine months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit, comprised of 110 soldiers (both men and women), will train at Fort Bliss, Texas for two months before departing for Khost Province, Afghanistan where it will mentor the Afghan National Police Force and conduct joint presence patrols to locate and defeat enemy insurgents. The 237th MP Company is split between armories in Concord, Lebanon and Plymouth. Seventy-seven of the soldiers are first-time deployers. For the remaining soldiers, this will be their second or third deployment. For Staff Sgt. William Roth, this will be his fifth deployment.
