NHDP - Chair Ray Buckley Responds to NH Republican Efforts to Turn Over NH's Healthcare to the Federal Government.

Concord, NH - New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley issued the following response to NH Republican efforts to turn over NH's healthcare to the federal government.

"Republicans in the state legislature refuse to acknowledge that the Affordable Care Act, which will greatly improve the health and well being of thousands of Granite Staters, is the law of the land after being upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court." declared NH Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley.

"First Republicans passed an ill-advised law eliminating New Hampshire's ability to build a state-based health exchange, now they want to block a partnership with the federal government. Apparently the GOP would prefer to leave health coverage for our families up to the federal government, a shocking departure. Republicans in the State House would be better suited by working to improve health care in our state, instead of posturing and positioning themselves for the 2014 primaries." concluded Buckley.
