CONCORD – Today House Republican Leader Gene Chandler (R-Bartlett) and House Republican Policy Leader Laurie Sanborn (R-Bedford) offered the following comments in reaction to the passage of SB1, a bill that would increase the research and development tax credit. SB1 passed by a vote of 342-7.
House Republican Leader Gene Chandler (R-Bartlett)
“This bill encourages business growth and investment in new technologies. By increasing the Research and Development tax credit, we are sending a clear message that New Hampshire wants to bring new, cutting edge, hi-tech businesses to our state. With this bill, we are investing in the employment opportunities of tomorrow for the next generation of New Hampshire citizens. This is exactly the kind of innovative and business friendly reform our economy needs to create real growth.”
House Republican Policy Leader Laurie Sanborn (R-Bedford)
“We campaigned on making New Hampshire a better place to do business and SB1 gets us closer to that goal. SB1 shows New Hampshire is making efforts to compete with neighboring states to attract new companies and gives our existing business community the green light to expand and hire.”
