FEATURE: Celebrate Human Achievement Tomorrow!

It's that time of year again: Tomorrow at 8:30 p.m., people around the world will be shutting off their lights in "celebration" of Earth Hour. For those of us who value human progress, this hour of darkness is an unhappy symbol. Therefore, CEI is once again celebrating "Human Achievement Hour" (HAH) during Earth Hour. HAH, founded by CEI Fellow Michelle Minton, honors the benefits of innovation and capitalism, and encourages a focus on the future--not on the pre-electricity age of the past. Read more about HAH here.

CEI hosted a widely publicized panel discussion at CPAC, titled “A Rainbow on the Right: Growing the Coalition, Bringing Tolerance Out of the Closet.” CEI Founder and Chairman Fred Smith, who moderated the panel, reflects on the importance of tolerance and inclusiveness.
